US market sectors

The US market sectors used on Rotate: technology, financials, health care, energy, industrials, and the other S&P sector groups, measured against the S&P 500.

US market sectors on this chart are the usual S&P groups, each as a sector fund, measured against the S&P 500:

The benchmark strength is 100, and the benchmark name in the subtitle is S&P 500. A sector to the right of 100 has outperformed that benchmark inside the lookback. A sector above 0 is speeding up relative to it.

These groups are broad. Technology includes very large companies, so the sector can look calm while one stock inside it is not. If you care about the stock, switch Tune to specific stocks and add the companies by name or ticker. Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia are in the suggestion list. You can also change the benchmark to the Nasdaq 100 or the Russell 2000 if you want a different yardstick than the S&P 500.

US sector rotation is the same geometry as Nifty sector rotation. The groups and the benchmark change. The quadrants do not. Read how to analyze sector rotation for the order of operations.
